Andria, right off the plane from NYC, at Korean dinner

Any Excuse to Grill

By Christoph on 1 September 07

Labor Day BBQ AtThePlex!

Old friend and former Portland resident Andria is visiting for the Labor Day weekend. We Must Grill. In honor of not working, in honor of old friends visiting, and … well, its the “last weekend of the summer” (which I know is a lie, but that’s what everyone says).

So – bring a side dish, bring a beverage, bring something for the grill, bring yourself. Stop by after 2pm and we should be applying fire to food and generally carrying on!

Now is the time at The Plex when we clean

By Christoph on 4 August 07

Ozmo is always a welcome distraction from cleaning. Any excuse to hold him up in the air while he yells and hollers and photograph him in this state of distress. Oh Ozmo, won’t you ever learn that the more you struggle the more I enjoy it?

So today will be spent cleaning. Later, Anah has invited me to get birthday cocktails with Sandra, who is a Friend of The Plex. I may decline and go watch the Simpsons movie instead… I think tonight will need to be spend working. I have lots of work to do.

For now, it’s time to scrub out the tub, vacuum the living room, order a pizza, and hopefully staighten the office to get ready for a night of hard work…

Me. Doing nothing.

Nothing is happening here

By Christoph on 21 July 07

…At least not on my side of The Plex. Everything is happening elsewhere today – performing at Portland Center Stage’s JAW Fest later (gallery installation: 30 actors and musicians standing stock still in the lobby for 2 hours), and after that playing drunken scrabble at The Goodfoot with some friends from work. yeah!
In between I’ll probably be found here at the Plex trying to clean up the awful mess I’ve made of my home.

Today The Plex Was Attacked.

By Christoph on 19 July 07

I came home this evening (actually yesterday now) to discover that dear Ozmo had developed a taste for literature during the day. Actually, technical writing. I left my linux book open on my desk near one of his ‘spots’ and he took it upon himself to … decorate it.
Now I’ve stayed up all night again digging through old library stuff and then making my twitter feed appear in my About section. it’s been a long night and it’s time to go sleep.
On a lighter note, Boing Boing just turned me on to Mark Jenkins, public installation artist. Very cool, if you think disturbing is cool.

Portrait of Christoph

Christoph is the boy in the back unit. You know the one. Messy bachelor with cat. Stays up too late programing websites. Spends weekends working on layouts for friends’ websites. Feels guilty taking the time to work on his own. Yeah, that guy.
